1. Well, it’s Friday night again, and I find myself downtown.

I’ve been drinking far too much am I’m thinking about you.

The places that we’ve been, all the sites that we’ve seen,

the laughter that we shared, all the things we used to do.



Ref.: This is not a perfect world and our lives have grown apart,

following a path that we each much tend.

As I hollow down and I have another round,

I think : This one’s to you, my good old friend.


2. How long has it been since you left for the coast

to find a new life and a place to belong?

Now it’s phonecalls in the night, letters back and for,

we‘re doing our best to keep this friendship strong.
