Above a bar called Tokyo we
watch the post-work traffic flow,
selective of the drinks that we
buy. We used to drink the riverbed
dry, you and I. We act as if the
people we were are gone, but
echoes remain. We act as if the
way that we were was wrong, as
if people change.

Above the Hotel Kyoto there is
a neon, scarlet glow. Dancing on
the slippery tiles, we bathe until
the water runs dry, you and I. We
