Village Idiot

Well there's trouble in the village, the idiot has taken control
He's a grubby little man with a stone where there should be a soul
He's talking up taxes and he's talking down humanity
I don't like the village idiot talking down to me

He's got a fifty IQ from his head to his toes
He shrinks to the occasion wherever he goes
He's got a grandiose vision and a petty mind
We should all be scared
It's village idiot time

Well it's common knowledge that it's rare for him to understand
If there's anything to feel then he has to try to get it banned
You could liken his mind to a chicken rotisserie
The half cocked thought goes round and round incessantly

And now everybody's scared and the babies cry
And all he does is get a blank look in his eyes
And then he rants and drools about cutting down crime
We should all be scared
It's village idiot time
