I entered with opened arms as their swords were drawn
my eyes crawl away
my heart becomes an array of light shattered
my battered soul carried away
alone lifeless I lay


torn amongst the worn old and scorned
I pray, my cries pierce the skies
only to be left with a deafening decay
hope for humanity has been betrayed
in search of community the dead pray


your spirit weakens
and vision decay’s
your hope has been betrayed


life a breath away


a glimmer of light shines though the night
as the fire ignites
willingness kills distress
honor breads success
dignity we progress
community our intent


gods descended as the angles spoke
love prevails when their is hope


your spirit awakened
vision and strength
community attained
consciousness has been raised
together life has arisen from this grave
