*The Statlers Brothers Are A Quartet and took turns singing the verses*
*The orginal members of this group Harold , Don , Lew, Phil, sang this song
Lew was replaced in the late 1970's or early 1980's because he had throut
troubles, Jimmy was hired from a contest they held in their home town to
replace Lew, Jimmy won because he knew all the words to their songs
with out having to read sheet music and could do all the slides with out
any mistakes aswell,and his being from their home town and sounding the
same when saying the words was a huge plus also. the orginal
group members all went to the same high school, but only Don Reid and
Harold Reid are Real Brothers the name Statler was taken from a factory
sign in their home town.*
